The people were very personable and very friendly. A bunch of us had set up a luncheon for her, and they provided us with a separate room. They provided us with lunch, and we took a cake .
As for staff, every place I went was very friendly and very nice. I would recommend any of them to go to see for themselves, but I prefer the one with the bedroom separated from the main room. My Mom was a resident her for a month in assisted living.

They don't take care of her needs when she goes to the bathroom. When my family and myself go to see her, we ended up having to clean her up and change her clothes because they are not doing it. Her bathroom is always dirty and we are always cleaning it because she has accidents.

When we walked in at Brompton Heights last January, the place was very nice. I tried eating there and the food was disgusting. They are giving my mom a sandwich at lunch time everyday which is their main meal and she has been losing a lot of weight.

The staff was great and very responsive to her needs. There were outings twice a week and lots of activities. They took her to her doctor's appointments. Transitioning to assisted living can lead to feelings of isolation or loneliness. This appears to have been a mistake. In the course of a week, his confidence is lost, and he seems to have suffered an enormous set-back because of this experience. Finally, three telephone calls requesting out-take and feedback have gone unreturned, since our father left the Brompton.
There is also a smaller living room area near my moms room that she spends quite a bit of time in. My mom loves their art program, playing bingo and going to mass. Mom will be living at Brompton Heights for many years to come.

I went on a tour at Brompton Heights. It was a nice place, but there was no room available. I do remember what the shared room looked like, and it was way too small. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was an activity room, and there were people there doing something.
The building was really big, which we liked, and it had high ceilings. The director was extremely accommodating. The only thing that we didn't like was that they didn't offer apartment-style living. It was more of a 1-bedroom with a little eating area in it. There was nothing where it was like a separate kitchen from the bedroom and the living room.
It seemed more like a nursing home in a lot of ways. The residents were lined up in front of the recreation room waiting to eat lunch in the dining room. It is not a place that we would consider. My mother-in-law has been in Brompton Heights for only two weeks.
An option for capable seniors who are looking to escape some of the everyday hassles of owning a home like shoveling the driveway, taking out the trash, or maintaining the yard.
